A few years ago I was fortunate enough to buy a sailboat from Paul Briant at South Coast Yachts. Being a pretty new sailor, I needed a lot of coaching and Paul never hesitated to step up and spend whatever time I needed to get comfortable. He helped me choose the right boat and continued to happily provide support long after the sale. Paul has a wealth of sailing knowledge and has been an invaluable resource over the years. He is very approachable and always available to provide guidance or a helpful contact. The South Coast Yachts team also did an impressive job in all aspects of after-sales support. So when it was time for me to step up to a new, larger sailboat, I did not even consider going anywhere else. Paul was able to quickly sell my first boat at a higher price than I had expected while also guiding me through the process of specifying a new boat that was just right for me. The entire South Coast Yachts team, especially owner Barrett Canfield, have created an environment of family through their genuine concern for their customers along with sponsoring a number of fun events every year. I highly recommend both South Coast Yachts and Paul Briant.

I wholeheartedly can recommend both South Coast Yachts and my salesperson Paul Briant. Both Paul and the company are very patient and knowledgeable. Paul is a true professional and has been there for me at every step of the process and has continued to be a valuable resource after the sale. Paul has total depth of knowledge of sailing and sailboats. He is also very attentive to detail and fast to respond to any questions and concerns I have had. He is a great help in negotiating and has a keen eye for details many overlook. He has gone out of his way for me to be available and helping with many of the small details in closing the purchase and to assist with the many maintenance details that need to be completed. Buying the boat is the easy part but it's all the post-sale items that is critical and Paul has always been available to help me with these things as is South Coast Yachts. He has a vast network of contacts that are critical in getting all the "after the sale items" completed. He is such an incredibly valuable resource for me, as well as South Coast Yachts. I am very fortunate to have found both Paul Briant and South Coast Yachts. They are fantastic

We bought a 2026 Beneteau Oceanis Yacht 54 that was commissioned & delivered by South Coast Yachts in October 2025. Our broker, Paul Briant, worked with us on all the details & communicated each step during the build process. He's very knowledgeable, friendly, and accessible. Paul constantly went above & beyond to make our experience exceptional. After this process, we also can call him a friend.
Barrett, and the whole South Coast Yachts Sales & Service team, are super professional and delivered a top notch experience & incredible yacht.

Paul Briant and the team are fantastic. Honest, transparent and hardworking. They do what it takes (and more) to help you sell or buy a boat, and their expertise runs deep, especially with Beneteaus. They’re careful to outline steps and processes so that you’re never in the dark, and Paul in particular is responsive and takes accountability. I would absolutely work with him again.

I recently purchased a Beneteau Oceanis 45 from South Coast yachts. They were very helpful throughout the entire process. I can't say enough positive things about them (except they didn't have any coffee in thier office : ) ) Paul Briant (Broker) really earned his money on this one. The seller was out of the country and I'm in Hawaii so Paul had to work overtime to put this together. Paul and South Coast Yachts continued to help me out after the sale by hooking me up with local vendors to do some addtional work to the boat.

We bought a new 2022 Beneteau 62 Oceanis Yacht that was commissioned in Oct 2021 from SCY thru Tamara and had a great experience. We love the boat. I have built several boats and always expect to have many punchlist items to be completed after delivery, with builders often having to come back half a dozen times over the first year to correct things that need correcting/repair (which is normal even when I had high end custom boats built). What has amazed me is in the 6 months since we took delivery there has been nothing, I believe they came up 1X in the first week post delivery to take care of 2 small items-- the Beneteau has been bulletproof and the commission went very smoothly. I was impressed especially since Beneteau is a production boat builder. The styling, reliability and quality-- its all there. Tamara has continued the relationship with lots of follow-up post sale to make sure we are happy and assist in anyway she can such as referring us to boat cleaners, helped getting dock slip, capt, aftermarket custom dodger/bimini/connector from a top notch crew that flew in from Seattle etc.. I highly recommend SCY, Tamara, and the crew at SCY. We are very happy with the Oceanis Yacht 62.
