Monte Carlo Yachts 65: Elegant, Luxury Cruiser – Review by Boattest.com

Just one short year after the launch of what has become the most awarded yacht of the century (the Monte Carlo Yachts 76), its Italian builder has launched a slightly smaller version — the Monte Carlo Yachts 65. With this second yacht in the series, a style has emerged that clearly defines the brand. As the first launch is set to make its debut in the States at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show in November we take our preliminary look at a yacht that can now bring a highly-acclaimed design within reach of more people.

At 64’5” (19.65 m) LOA and a beam of 17’ (5.2 m) one might think that the MCY 65 would be a challenge to handle, but with her joystick functionality anyone can do it.

Italian styling and versatile cruising performance comes together in a design from one of the most awarded builders in the industry. This latest launch gets put to the test as she makes her North American debut and we found a top speed of nearly 30 kts while still being able to sip champagne – if only we’d thought to bring some. Our full test video goes over all the details so let’s let her roll.
